Issue- The lack of awareness about cleaner cooking products leads to low levels of adoption in rural India, despite various marketing and distribution activities.
Dharmalife Solution- a rural cooking competition was launched to demonstrate that induction cooktops can make tasty food in less time, with no pollution. Cooking on induction cooktops or improved cookstoves was a precondition to participating in the cooking competition. Village level competitions are conducted among rural women to experiment with different cuisines. The winners are selected for semi-finals and finals at the state and national levels.
This Dharma Chef Competition breaks the myth “that food cooked on induction cooktops is not tasty.” It convinces the participants and onlookers about its benefits and ease of use.
